The best and worst dressed celebs on the red carpet–according to us.
In our debut episode, we introduce you to our expert panel of Jill Dunn, Ingrie Williams & Laura Carinci along with Vanessa Taylor as the host. We’re discussing the wardrobe highs and lows at the Iron Man 3 premiere on Gwyneth Paltrow and in Paris on Salma Hayek in Saint Laurent.
The boho-braid doesn’t necessarily seem like a natural fit for the red carpet, but we love the casual laissez-faire feel of these updo’s–especially next to couture gowns.
Lucy Liu
The side swept fish tail
While we’re still undecided with regards to the tapestry-floral frock, this side fish tail braid is a definite winner. We especially like the slightly undone detail with a few frizzy bits to soften the look.

Jennifer Lawrence
The textured chignon
Guaranteed to be a hit with bridesmaids this summer, Lawrence’s messy chignon is achieved by combining loosely braided sections and medium-size curls to give mega texture (instead of teased height) to this tousled bun.
Here’s how to get a simplified version of this ‘do:
Red lips were paired with chest baring dresses on the red carpet this year. Jewelery and hair were kept simple allowing the bold lip and ample assets take center stage. This saucy combination was sported by Jessica Paré (Jason Wu), Kat Dennings (J. Mendel) and Christina Hendriks (Christian Siriano).
While the heavily lined or smokey eye took center stage we prefer the shimmery eye makeup on Emilia Clark, Ariel Winter and Kiernan Shipka. These frosty tones matched with heavily mascara lashes and bold brows gave they girls a fresh and natural appeal.
Canary yellow hits the carpet in a big way this year. It looked great on everyone and definitely brightened up our night. Our favourites were worn by Clare Danes (Lavin), Hannah Simone (Emilio Pucci) and Julianne Moore (Dior).
If spending hours creating tiny stripes or polka dots on your nails is not an option (or seems way too labour intensive!)–you need to try these peel and stick wonders. No drying time and yes, they are actually nail polish (rather than a plastic sticker).
